FAQ'S

What do I expect coming to therapy?
-
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our sessions will be a safe, supportive space where you can show up just as you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s on your heart, work through challenges, and find tools that fit your life. My role is to walk beside you with compassion and understanding as you move toward healing and growth.
-
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important to you right now. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in — we’ll take it one step at a time, together.
-
As we continue, you can expect sessions to be a space where you are listened to fully, without judgment. Sometimes that means talking through difficult experiences, and other times it may mean learning new coping skills, exploring patterns, or simply having a place to process your feelings.

What ages do you take?
-
I see kids as young as 5, teens, and adults. For kids, therapy can feel a little like play. We might use games, art, or stories to help share feelings and learn new skills. For teens and adults, sessions are more about talking and finding tools that fit your life. No matter your age, everyone deserves support, and therapy is a safe place to find it.

What insurance do you accept?
-
I am currently in the process of becoming credentialed with state insurance providers, including Healthy Blue, Sunflower, and UnitedHealthcare. While this process is being finalized, please feel free to reach out with any questions about coverage or payment options.

-
Is there a payment option for self-pay?
-
Yes! I offer self-pay on a sliding scale, so the cost of therapy can be adjusted to better fit your needs and circumstances.

What do I do if I need to contact you?
-
You are welcome to reach out during my office hours by phone call, email, or text. If I am with another client, I’ll return your message as soon as I’m able. If you are ever experiencing a crisis or need immediate support, please call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call Comcare at 316-660-7500 for local assistance. You don’t have to go through it alone.
